Programme & Value Management
Coakley Construction was able to get ahead of the client’s target programme by approaching the works from multiple angles. Five gangs worked on different elements of the site, allowing the team to progress plot foundations while the road installation was underway and complete the first 50% of foundations before the first plot handover.
Key Challenges & Solutions
A key challenge was the proximity to residents and the need to keep the highway clean.
To minimise disruption, Coakley Construction reduced the site start time and introduced a pre-determined delivery route for the supply chain.
Road sweepers were used to clean the agreed delivery route when weather conditions caused mud to reach the road.
